In 2013 the School of International Relations, the first and the oldest school of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), is celebrating its 70th Anniversary. All these years, the School has been training the best specialists promoting our country’s interests in the international arena. It would be difficult to do this without knowledge of the languages and cultures of the world. In teaching 53 foreign languages, the language departments of the School give their students a unique opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue with their counterparts across the globe.
Despite its venerable age and a wealth of experience, the School of International Relations is open to everything new. Hence the idea to convene a conference on innovations in teaching foreign languages. To mark the anniversary,English Language Department No. 1 in cooperation with the other language departments of the School and with the support of the European Studies Institute holds a conference which will provide a forum for foreign language teachers and linguists to share their experience, exchange ideas and showcase their research.
We would like to invite you to participate in the conference “The Magic of Innovation: New Techniques and Technologies in Teaching Foreign Languages” to be held in Moscow on 4-5 October 2013. The event, which will be hosted by the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Relations (MGIMO University), is timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the University’s School of International Relations. The conference is organized by English Language Department No. 1 of the School of International Relations with the support of the European Studies Institute.
